North Western Warehouse (NWW) is a moving & storage company that was founded in 1932 by Alex Johnson, a former Vice President of the Chicago North Western Railroad. Wally Koppmann became President of the North Western Warehouse Company in 1938, and NWW has been family-owned and operated ever since. A third generation of the Koppmann family leads the company today.
Over the years we’ve added new businesses and additional services to meet the needs of our many loyal customers:
These new businesses and services have allowed us to greatly expand our square footage, fleet of vehicles and number of employees. Today we own 2 facilities in Rapid City, and are proud to have provided employment to hundreds of Black Hills residents over the years. All of us at North Western Warehouse are just as proud of our longstanding relationship with Allied Van Lines, and the role we have been able to play as good corporate citizens that “give back” to Western South Dakota.
